Who Needs to Be Licensed?
As of July 1, 2025, any individual or business entity offering property through rental-purchase agreements in Wyoming must be licensed. This requirement applies regardless of whether the service is provided through:
A physical location
An online presence
An independent third-party retailer
To apply for a new Rent-to-Own license, applicants must download and complete the required forms and mail the completed application and payment to the Wyoming Division of Banking:

The annual renewal application period is November 1st to December 31st.
All licensed Rent-to-Own companies in Wyoming must submit their renewal applications by downloading and completing the required forms. Mail your completed application and payment to the Wyoming Division of Banking between the designated dates.
